This center, which opened in 2013, is dedicated to developing new product concepts for Early Life and Medical Nutrition. At the forefront of innovation in the life sciences and product technology, it develops formulas with health benefits for vulnerable consumers with specialized nutritional needs, such as pregnant women, infants, young children, the elderly and patients.

Danone Research - Daniel Carasso Center

This center, opened in 2002, is the original Danone research site. It is a powerful catalyst for innovation for all brands in the Group’s Dairy and Waters divisions around the world and collaborates closely with local R&D teams. The missions that guide the Daniel Carasso Center staff form the very core of Danone’s R&D philosophy: develop safe products, provide health and well-being through food, and better understand and adapt to the cultural specifi cities of our consumers.

Fresh dairy technological expertise

Set up in 1997 near Madrid, the Site of Technological Expertise (Sitex) is the sole Danone center in the world with facilities designed to test and optimize the industrial application of fresh products production processes.

Danone Research packaging

Housed in the longstanding Evian water plant, the packaging platform of the Waters division develops new materials for bottles that are both attractive to consumers and ecologically sound from a sustainable-development perspective.

Nutricia Research

Opened in 2011 in Singapore’s Biopolis Research Park, this center is specialized in Medical and Early Life Nutrition and is the first to completely focus on maternal and child health in the Asia-Pacific, with emphasis on the study of gut bacteria, the immune system and growth in infants and young children.

Dumex Research

Opened in 2013, the Dumex research and development center in China, dedicated to the Chinese mothers and babies, conducts nutritional, gut microbiota and clinical studies to continuously improve Dumex’ products, Asia’s baby nutrition brand.
